2024 elections already shaping up locally

With the 2024 election still a year out, 18 candidates have already indicated their intention to seek one of 11 local public offices that are coming up open for consideration, according to the Jefferson County Supervisor of Elections Office. The 11 public offices up for election in November 2024 are Clerk of Court/Comptroller, Property Appraiser, Sheriff, Superintendent of Schools, Tax Collector, Supervisor of Elections, County Commission Districts 1, 3 and 5, and School Board, Districts 1 and 4.
