2026 African-American History Calendar honors three local leaders

Laura Young ECB Publishing, Inc. Tallahassee State College (TSC) has presented its 2026 Cherry Hall Alexander African-American History Calendar. Its founder and two of those featured this year  – John R. Nelson, Sr. and Darryl Hall – hail from Jefferson County. Alexander, a native of Monticello, founded the calendar during her professional tenure at TSC, and it was renamed in her honor upon her retirement in 2009.
