23 candidates qualify for elective local offices

Now that the qualification period is over, the final list of candidates for 12 local offices is a little reduced from earlier indications, as some individuals did not qualify.
As of Friday evening, June 14, which marked the end of the weeklong qualification period, the number of candidates vying for local offices stood at 23.
It’s important to note that three of the races are labeled as universal primary contests. This means that all qualified voters, regardless of political party affiliation, may vote, as the winner of the primary will have no opposition in the general election.
