Danielle Dechristofaro Williams is a member of the Elizabeth Baptist Church (EBC), which is located at 4124 Bassett Dairy Rd., in the Jefferson County area.
She was baptized into the church family on March 16, 2014, after attending services and programs since February 2014. It was after her first visit that Williams knew this was the church she wanted to share her days with. She was introduced to EBC through her involvement in the Upward Sports program.
As far as her involvement as a member of the EBC family, she volunteers with the church's Upward Sports program and especially enjoys working with the children during Vacation Bible School. She also leads the “Ladies Night Out” group, a position she likes very much. Her “church plan” is to spread the Good News about Christianity and to invite people to church, any church, as long as it's a church of God's teachings.
Because she lost her parents at a young age and was raised in the state foster care system, Williams didn't attend church on a regular basis as a youngster. It was only during the times that her neighbors and friends would invite her to their church for a service or a ministry program that she would get the chance to attend.
Now that she is involved with a church, and is a member of her own church family, she is eager to learn more and grow in God's Word. She tries to read her Bible and pray every day, along with her husband Hubert. She is open about inviting people she meets to her church and usually attends services with her children and grandchildren. She and Hubert have loved and raised five children and more than a few grandchildren.
She has several “favorite” church hymns, but if she had to pick just one, it would be “He's Got The Whole World In His Hand.”
She has made many good, Christian friends through her walk with Jesus. She has received from them the gift of love and sharing. Her relationship with God has also brought her closer to her husband and family and has given her more opportunities to express herself differently, and in a good way.
When she's not caring for the needs of her husband or studying for her high school diploma, she enjoys “Surfing the Web” and watching YouTube videos. And, because she is a homemaker, she's always ready to lend a hand when called upon.
Williams moved to the Monticello area in 1997 from Miami, Fla.; now making Monticello her home.
