As we celebrate America's 250th Anniversary, the 250 County Celebration Committee extends our deepest gratitude to everyone who helped make this year's celebration a truly unforgettable day.
The overwhelming support from our community was inspiring. We are sincerely thankful to our sponsors, local businesses, corporations, civic organizations, churches, elected officials, public safety personnel, entertainers, vendors, volunteers, and the countless individuals who generously shared their time, talents and resources. Your dedication and generosity made this celebration possible.
One of the most anticipated moments of the day was the return of our community fireworks display after a five-year absence. Seeing families gathered together under the evening sky to celebrate our nation and enjoy this long-awaited tradition was a reminder of what makes our community so special. It was more than a fireworks show — it was a celebration of freedom, unity and the enduring American spirit.
We are especially proud to announce that 1,624 people attended this year's celebration. For a small town like ours, that number speaks volumes about the pride our citizens have in their community and in our nation's history. Together, we honored the generations who came before us, celebrated the blessings we enjoy today and looked with hope toward the future.
America's story has always been written by neighbors helping neighbors, volunteers stepping forward to serve, businesses investing in their communities and citizens coming together for a common purpose. That spirit was on full display throughout our celebration. Whether you planned for months, sponsored an event, donated supplies, performed, served food, helped with setup or cleanup, worked behind the scenes or simply joined us in celebrating, you were an important part of our success.
To every person who attended, thank you for making this day one to remember. Your presence transformed an event into a true community celebration.
As we reflect on this historic milestone in our nation's journey, we are reminded that the strength of America begins in communities just like ours — where patriotism, service, generosity and pride are passed from one generation to the next.
Thank you for helping us celebrate 250 years of American independence and for making our 250 County Celebration an extraordinary success. May God continue to bless our community, and may God continue to bless the United States of America.
With heartfelt appreciation,
Katrina Richardson
