Nestled between two centuries-old oaks is a quiet, unassuming home. The one-story structure, painted white with bright teal shutters adorning its craftsman-style porch, is about 166 years old. This house, the Dennis-Coxetter House, has been a landmark of Lloyd's streets since the community's beginning.
The Dennis-Coxetter House was constructed in 1859, likely by George E. Dennis, a Jefferson County cotton planter.
