
A tour of the historic Denham-Brinson-Hawkins House

The Denham-Brinson-Hawkins House is among the oldest residences in Jefferson County. Built around 1840 for William Denham, the house predates most others in the county, with the exception of a rare few such as the Wirick-Simmons House (1831-33), Partridge Inn (1833), and Palmer-Perkins House (1836). The two-story structure sits on its original location, and despite a few additions, maintains many of its original features.
