Last month, the Aucilla Christian Academy BETA club put together a community outreach drive with local animal shelter, Wolf Creek Pet Adoption Center, as the beneficiary. The club, who held the outreach as a joint effort with the school's elementary grades, collected over 150 items in total donations, including toys, treats and other animal supplies, which were delivered to the shelter.
The current BETA club President, Kaitlyn Tharpe, chose this outreach as her community project for the school year, and Mrs. Laura Roberts' class earned a pizza party for being the class to collect the most donations!
Throughout the year, the BETA team at ACA is involved in a variety of projects and outreaches in the community. Among these, the BETA team chose to adopt the road beside their school, Aucilla Hwy., all the way through the county, and they complete a road clean up once every three months. The BETA club also helps to build house ramps for disabled members of the community throughout the year, and has partnered with Central Baptist Church to help clean up the sanctuary in time for the Church's homecoming celebration service.
To the members of the ACA BETA club, great job, and keep up the great work!
