Administrative Professionals' Day falls on Wednesday, April 24, this year. The holiday has been known by a few other names, such as Secretaries Day or Admin Day, but has been an observed holiday for decades. In World War II, skilled administrative personnel were in short supply, mostly due to the birth rate decline during the Depression-era. In 1942, the National Secretaries Association was founded, specifically to recognize the hard work of those in the administrative field.
