Advanced age should teach wisdom
Those were the days! We could eat like a horse and not look like one. All of the school teachers were older than us. Life was an open highway. Then came the subtle hints of mortality. What was tight now sags. What once swung now bounces. Everything hurts when you wake up. What doesn’t hurt, doesn’t work.
Growing older. One person shared that if his body was a car, he would trade it in for a newer model, because every time he coughed or sneezed, his radiator leaked and his exhaust backfired. Another shared that you know you are getting old when you bend down to get the wrinkles out of your socks and realize you aren’t wearing any.
