American Legion sponsors two for Boys State

Laura Young ECB Publishing, Inc. Otto M. Walker American Legion Post 49 has selected Kyle Hamrick and Joshua Forehand to attend Florida American Legion Boys State this summer. Both students are Jefferson County residents who are juniors in high school. At Boys State each year, around See BOYS STATE page 4 535 students from around Florida have the opportunity to learn first-hand how the political process works. Their expenses for the week-long experience are paid for by their sponsoring local American Legion Post.
