Dear Editor: Yesterday, I had the opportunity to be involved with a rescued mastiff dog that was noticed as a stray by Sheriff McNeill on Highway 27 in Jefferson County. He contacted Animal Control and dispatch sent Officer Robbie Slack on the mission. Robbie and Sheriff McNeill tracked the dog through the woods, over fences and finally were able to catch and confine this big dog.
