Andrew Hagan, 53, of Freeport, Ill., peacefully entered into eternal rest on Saturday, Dec.18, 2021, at his home in Freeport, Ill. Graveside service with military honors will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 31, 2021, at Oakfield Cemetery, 2462 Waukeenah Hwy., Monticello, Fla. Public viewing will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 30, 2021, at Hagan Funeral Service, 175 N. Railroad St., Monticello, Fla., (850) 997-1300.
For the safety of all during the viewing and service, face masks are required; social distancing and visitation capacity limitations will be implemented due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Andrew was born in Moultrie, Ga., on Nov. 12, 1968. He graduated from Freeport High School in 1986. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1987 and was honorably discharged.
He leaves to cherish his beloved memories, his children, Karah Ross (Freeport, Ill.), Joshua and Josiah Hagan (Atlanta, Ga.); grandchildren, Mo’Ney, MonRoe, Madisyn, Mercy and Malani; parents, Mary Hagan-Shipp and Henry Shipp (Freeport, Ill.) and Robert Madison (Moultrie, Ga.); sister, Cherry Walker (Freeport, Ill.); step siblings, Bernard (Shelly) Shipp, Bernita Shipp and Trent Gaines (Freeport, Ill.); nieces and nephews, Asia Walker (Monticello, Fla.), Anysia Sloan and Amarri Watkins (Freeport, Ill.), Robert Walker Jr. and Daylon Watkins (Freeport, Ill.); aunts and uncles, Queen Mosley and Mary Ann Evans (Monticello, Fla.), Robert Hagan ( Memphis, Tenn.), Willie Hagan (Freeport, Ill.), George (Wendy) Evans (Monticello, Fla.); two great nieces and one great nephew, along with a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jullian Hagan; grandmother, Elizabeth Hagan; nephew, Romel Walker; and aunts, Rosa Lee Parker, Katie Evans and Margaret Higginbottom.
