North Florida College is pleased to announce its hire of Anna Kelley, Doctor of Nursing Practice, as its instructor of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.
Dr. Kelley brings to NFC 42 years of experience in nursing with advanced practice specialty in Women’s Health. Her experience in academia includes 25 years of providing instruction for institutions such as Florida State University, University of Florida, Santa Fe College and Florida Gateway College.
Her goals as instructor of NFC’s BSN program are to recruit new students, facilitate student progression through the program, maintain the program’s curriculum quality, and graduate nurses prepared to meet the challenges of the current healthcare system.
NFC’s BSN program provides registered nurses a flexible format to complete a bachelor’s degree and expand career options. The program is offered online and can be completed in as little as one year of full-time study. Part-time options may also be available.
“The flexibility of the BSN online program is perfect for nurses who are employed and/or raising a family,” states Dr. Kelley. “Online students complete their assignments on a day and time convenient for their schedule. It is rewarding to teach in a program that supports the flexibility needed for a student to manage life events while attaining their professional nursing degree.”
Dr. Kelley is a Branford, Fla. native, now living in southern Suwannee County on their family farm with her husband Kevin. They have three children and four grandchildren, all in the Branford area.
