- What is greater than God and more evil than the devil? The poor have it, the rich need it, and if you eat it you’ll die.
- Who am I? God made Adam out of dust, but thought it best to make me first: So, I was made before the man, according to God's holy plan. God made my whole body complete, without arms or hands or feet. My ways and acts did God control, but in my body He placed no soul. A living being I became, and Adam gave to me a name. Later, for a purpose God did see, He placed a living soul in me. But that soul of mine God had to claim and from me He took it back again. And when this soul from me had fled, I was the same as when first made;
Without arms, legs, feet, or soul, I travel on from pole to pole. So get your Bible and read with care; you'll find my name recorded there. - If you knew a woman who was pregnant, who had eight kids already, three who were deaf, two who were blind, one mentally challenged, and she had syphilis; would you recommend that she have an abortion?
- It’s time to elect a new world leader, and your vote counts. Here are the facts about the three leading candidates:
Candidate A: Associates with crooked politicians, and consults with astrologists. He's had two mistresses. He also chain smokes and drinks eight to 10 martinis a day.
Candidate B: Was kicked out of office twice, sleeps until noon, used opium in college and drinks a quart of whisky every evening.
Candidate C: He’s a decorated war hero, a vegetarian, doesn't smoke, drinks an occasional beer and hasn't had any extramarital affairs.
Which of these candidates would be your choice? Candidate A is Franklin D. Roosevelt. Candidate B is Winston Churchill. Candidate C is Adolph Hitler. And by the way: if you said yes to the abortion in question 3, you just killed Beethoven.
The answer to question two: Whale or Leviathan. Created before humans (Genesis 1:20-23), named by Adam (Genesis 2:19), Swallowed Jonah (a living soul).
“Nothing” is the answer to the riddle of question one. Nothing is greater than God or more evil than the devil. Poor people have nothing and rich people need nothing. And if you eat nothing you will die.
Summing it all up: There are 594 chapters before Psalm 118, and 594 chapters after it, making it the center of the Bible. If you add the 594 chapters before and after Psalm 118, you get the sum of 1188.
I don’t know who figures all of this out, but many claim the verse at the very center of the Bible is Psalm 118:8. “It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man.”
In the center of the Bible, we are reminded to trust in God over trusting in ourselves or other people. Good solution to any question!
