Archie Gregory Campbell of Monticello, Fla., passed away on March 6, 2021, after an accidental fall. Greg was born in Taylor County, Fla., on Dec. 2, 1944, to his parents Durward Roderick Campbell, Sr. and Pearlie Kelly Campbell.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Lewis Campbell, of 40 years; his daughters, Naomi Branch (Kenneth) of Grand Ridge, Fla., and Wanda Roberts (Dwayne) of Crawfordville, Fla.; his sons, Arlie Campbell of Grand Ridge, Fla., and Dallas Campbell of Greenville, Fla.; his step-sons, Donald Tinnell and Larry Tinnell of Libby, Mo.; his 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and also his sisters, Betty Lou Branch of Monticello, Fla., and Virginia Cardin of Woodville, Fla., and his brother, Nelson Campbell of Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Greg was employed with the Jefferson County Solid Waste Department, he rode with the Gold Wing Riders Motorcycle Assoc. and was a member of the Sunday School Class at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Lamont. After returning from the Military, Greg was a lifelong resident of Jefferson County, he enjoyed traveling and never met a stranger.
Funeral services were held at Beggs Funeral Home Chapel, 485 E. Dogwood St. Monticello, Fla., on Thursday March 11, 2021 at 11 a.m. with a visitation prior from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Interment followed at the Ebenezer Cemetery in Lamont, Fla.
