Area bikers to help fellow veteran

In an effort to help improve the quality of life for a fellow veteran, the Third District of the American Legion Riders is holding their Second Annual Bike Giveaway to a Veteran. The motorcycle, a 2006 Yamaha V-Star 1100, was donated by Wheels 4 Warriors, an organization in Lincoln, Neb., that provides motorcycles to veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces. The Third District of the American Legion Riders (which includes Jefferson, Madison, Dixie, Suwannee, Columbia, Baker, Hamilton, Lafayette and Taylor Counties) are raising funds to provide training, insurance, fuel, safety equipment, etc. to go along with the motorcycle.
