Area golfers compete in region tournament

Rick Patrick ECB Publishing, Inc. Golfers from three area high schools recently competed in the Class 1A Region One tournament, held at Jacksonville Beach Golf Club, on Monday, Nov. 4. The one team qualifier for the tournament, Lafayette High School (LHS), placed ninth in the tournament, with a team score of 354. Several area individual players also qualified for the region tournament. Kyle Hamrick, from Aucilla Christian Academy shot a 78. Madison County High School’s Kadence Eastham shot an 82. Kerby Cooper, from LHS had a score of 85. Another LHS golfer, Gavin Barnes, shot an 87. Harrison Jackson, from LHS, had a 90. Jaxson McCray, also from LHS, shot a 92 in the tournament.
