Artist’s block: Keeping stagnation at bay

It is common for artists to have ever-changing patterns of productivity; one week they might enjoy constant inspiration – another, none at all. This is normal, and comes and goes with influence from outside factors like stress at work, family events or household needs. Sometimes, however, the creative juices stop flowing and... they don't come back. When this happens, an artist may feel as if they have hit a wall blocking them from their own creativity and inspiration. It can be tempting to put up the paintbrushes and idly wait for your muse to return, but as the saying goes, “a watched pot never boils.”
Ironically enough, the thing about boili
