
At the Gathering in the Garden

On Sunday, April 27, a garden party was hosted at the home of Jack and Barbara Carswell as a partnership effort between the Jefferson County Historical Association (JCHA) and Monticello-Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce. The Carswells' home is the William Budd Jr. house, a historic house that was built in the 1850s. Full of plenty of tales from the days gone by, it made the perfect setting for JCHA's event.
From 2 to 5 p.m., guests enjoyed an array of refreshments, including small sandwiches, fruit, crackers, cheese, caesar salad, petit fours, cookies, champagne and mimosas. Conversation, light music and laughter filled the yard as guests
