The Lady Warriors Volleyball team played three games last week and won the Florida Christian Athletic League (FCAL) Conference Championship on Saturday. ACA won their first two games in straight sets, then beat Redeemer Christian in four sets: 19-25, 26-24, 25-17, 25-21. Maddie Drawdy took home tournament MVP honors. Other noteworthy stats for the Lady Warriors were:
• Maddie Drawdy (Resident of Perry) had 22 Kills, 20 Assists, 1 Block, 8 Receptions, 33 digs and 2 Aces.
• Olivia Walton (Resident of Monticello) had 12 Kills, 30 Assists, 17 Receptions and 24 digs
• Lena Kimmell (Resident of Perry) had 7 Kills and 4 Blocks
• Anna Lee Trest (Resident of Monticello) had 11 Kills and 4 Blocks
• Jenna Lindsey (Resident of Perry) had 2 Kills, 1 Block, 7 Receptions and 36 Digs
• Maddison Rudd (Resident of Tallahassee) had 29 Receptions, 31 Digs and 1 Ace
• Riley Smith (Resident of Madison) had 9 Receptions, 16 Digs and 1 Ace
Aucilla Christian improves to 14-0 on the season.
On Monday, Oct. 12, The Lady Warriors took on the FAMU Baby Rattlers in a playoff match at North Florida Christian Academy in Tallahassee. That match was part of the Volleyball District Tournaments for District 2A. The results will be in Friday's Jefferson County Journal.
