Aucilla students have Drug Awareness Week

Laura Young ECB Publishing, Inc. Elementary students at Aucilla Christian Academy (ACA) observed their own Drug Awareness Week Nov. 18-22. Dress-up days tied in with messages about the dangers of drug abuse, and a couple of special guests brought the topic home. Monday, Nov. 18, was Pajama Day, to reinforce the message “Don't be caught sleeping – Say no to drugs.” On Tuesday, Nov. 19, wearing sports gear with favorite team logos helped communicate the idea of working with others to “Team up against drugs.” On this day students also enjoyed a hands-on demonstration by Christy Clark, a former Respiratory Therapist, who used pig lungs to exhibit the difference between a healthy
