It has been a challenging season for Aucilla Christian Academy's (ACA) volleyball teams, as the players continue to practice, work hard and play with heart.. With teams at three levels, middle school, Junior Varsity (JV), and Varsity, local gyms are continuously seeing ACA girls blocking, serving, and assisting.
Varsity
So far this year, the varsity team has triumphed over Peniel Baptist (3-1), Gadsden County (3-0), Countryside Christian (3-1) and Ocala Christian (3-0). Losses thus far include Florida High (3-0), Branford (3-0), Mayo (3-0) and Blountstown (3-2).
You can cheer on the team at several home games, including Sept. 19 v. Community Leadership Academy, Sept. 22 v. Mayo, Sept. 25 v. Wakulla, Sept. 29 v. Branford, and Oct. 2 v. Florida High. Games being hosted by other teams include Sept. 18 at Wakulla, Sept. 23 at Riverside Christian and Sept. 30 at Liberty County.
JV
The JV team's record is 3-4. They were victorious over Gadsden County, Countryside Christian and Christ Classical Academy.
Their next home games are scheduled on Sept. 22 v. Mayo, Sept. 23 v. Christ Classical, Sept. 25 v. Wakulla, Sept. 29 v. Branford and Oct. 2 v. Florida High. Their away matches are Sept. 18 at Wakulla and Sept. 30 at Liberty County.
Middle School
The middle school team has a record of 4-3 and continues to work hard. Their four wins have been against Community Christian School, North Florida Christian, Community Leadership Academy and Maclay.
The middle schoolers have four home games scheduled. They are Sept. 22 v. Mayo, Sept. 23 v. MCAA, Sept. 25 v. Trinity Catholic School and Sept. 30 v. Maclay. They have one game against MCAA, which will be held at the NFC Gym Building 12, 325 N.W. Turner Dr., Madison.
