College students who will be attending Florida State University, Florida A&M University or Tallahassee Community College this year are invited to the 7th Annual Welcome Back Students event at Railroad Square, in Tallahassee on Saturday, August 25.
This is an event for both returning and newly enrolled students and will provide free gifts and school supplies (as they last) as well as music, free food and vendors.
The event has been offered by the REFS (Re-instituting the Extended Family Structure) organization since 2012, and will allow college students to meet with fellow students, organizations and businesses from within the surrounding community areas.
“The mission of this event is to ensure that College and University students understand how important they are to the Tallahassee Community,” Writes REFS President Cornelius (Ann) Floyd-Lucas.
The event will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., and will include a special surprise for the organization with the largest number of students in attendance.
For more information about the event, call REFS at (850) 509-2042 or email Floyd-Lucas at cfloydlucas@gmail.com.
