After years of effort, the Barbera family's journey to seal the 1890 Avera-Clarke House's place in national history is progressing.
The Queen Anne style home was constructed by Thomas Lee Clarke, a local judge, Civil War veteran and State Representative. He lived in the home with his wife, Annie Miller Clarke, and son, Scott Dilworth Clarke, until his death in 1915. S. D.
