Beehives by design

Earlier this summer, Starling Musings partnered with GrannyKat's Apiary and Bee Learning Center and welcomed local artists to participate in a unique and creative art project. On Saturday, May 13, members of the Monticello community with an artistic flare gathered together in the Starling Musings gallery and art shop to paint designs on several brand new bee boxes. The boxes, loaned to Starling Musings by GrannyKat's, were given a coat of primer before being brought to the gallery for the workshop, and artists were supplied with a wide selection of acrylic paints, brushes, sponges and stencils to use to complete their designs.  Before the evening wa
