Ben Hoffner promoted to ag agent

Laura Young ECB Publishing, Inc. Ben Hoffner is the new Agriculture and Natural Resources Agent for UF/IFAS Extension – Jefferson. Hoffner grew up in Manatee County, where his family roots go back five generations. However, when the land where they were raising cattle was taken for pubic road development through imminent domain, his immediate family looked for a new place in Florida to resettle. The search led them to Jefferson County, where Hoffner moved with his parents and sister in 2020. In December of 2022, Hoffner earned his bachelor's degree in Livestock Production from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, Ga., and by February of 2023 he was working at the extension
