Benjamin Mediate sent to state prison

Laura Young ECB Publishing, Inc. Benjamin Mediate of Monticello, Fla., born Nov. 13, 1990, was charged in Jefferson County with two counts of Sexual Battery on a Child Over 12 Years of Age but Under 18 Years of Age, three counts of False Imprisonment and one count of Felony Battery (filed Feb. 15, 2023) for offenses that occurred during 2017-2022. On June 17, 2025, Mediate entered into a plea agreement in which he pled no contest to and was found guilty of the charges of False Imprisonment
