In another sign that tipping is getting out of hand, a Florida legislator is proposing legislation that would clamp down on automatic gratuity and service charges at restaurants and similar eateries.
The amendment, proposed by Republican State Rep. Demi Busatta, was attached to House Bill 535, which aims to make it easier for restaurants and public lodging facilities to remove persons who have not paid their bills.
