Bill would put more restrictions on dangerous dogs

A bill making its way through the current Florida legislative session seeks to impose additional regulations on owners of dangerous dogs.
House Bill 873, also known as the “Pam Rock Act,” would require owners of dangerous dogs to carry a minimum of $100,000 in liability insurance, and also would mandate that such animals be spayed or neutered.
The bill would further increase the maximum fine for violations to $1,000, and it would require owners of dangerous dogs who sell or give away such animals to report the transactions to the local animal control agency.
