Bill would put more restrictions on dangerous dogs

House Bill 873, also known as the “Pam Rock Act,” would require owners of dangerous dogs to carry a minimum of $100,000 in liability insurance, and also would mandate that such animals be spayed or neutered. The bill would further increase the maximum fine for violations to $1,000, and it would require owners of dangerous dogs who sell or give away such animals to report the transactions to the local animal control agency.
