The modern conveniences we use each day are the products of thousands of years of ingenuity; even the most basic of everyday items are the handiwork of brilliant minds of the past.
Many of the items we use, or at least the inventions that set the basis for the development of our modern variants, were the work of Black Americans. Every time you sit at a stop light, turn on a lightbulb or buy vegetables from the grocery store, you are benefitting from technology a Black American invented.
