The Youth Ministry at First United Methodist Church held a “Breakfast for Dinner” fundraiser on Wednesday, Feb. 12.
The evening meal was very well-received by the church family and Monticello community friends. There were near to 100 guests dining to help the youth raise funds for their summer Christian camping trip.
During the month of February the youth were learning about “pain” through a series titled “Stronger.” Life hurts sometimes, but Jesus can redeem what's wrong. God can be trusted. God gives us each other. God helps us persevere. “As our faith gets stronger, we are more equipped to walk through life's toughest seasons with God by our side,” adds Youth Director Joshua Hawkins.
