It's that time of the year again – the Jefferson County Farm Bureau is partnering with Johnston's Old Fashion Meat Market to put together an especially tantalizing fundraiser.
Until Wednesday, May 15, the Farm Bureau will be selling smoked meat from Johnston's Meat Market in order to raise funds for Youth Ag education around the county.
For $25, buyers will be able to choose from five-six pounds of tender Boston butt or ham, three and a half pounds of BBQ ribs, five pounds of smoked sausage or six pounds of pork loin.
All of the meat is smoked on a rotisserie for four or five hours; the meat will be deliciously tender and flavorful.
To reserve an order, contact the Jefferson County Farm Bureau at (850) 997-2213 or Sarah Fulford at (850) 509-2898.
All orders must be placed no later than May 15, and orders can be picked up on Thursday, May 23, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Johnston's Meat Market, located at 1480 W. Washington St.
The funds gathered from this delicious fundraiser will go towards allowing the local farm bureau agency to continue educating Jefferson County's youth about the importance of agriculture.
As a Jefferson County favorite, all meat is promised to be tender, slow cooked and produced from juicy, farm fresh pork.
