Downtown Monticello is home to a vibrant community of local businesses, many of which operate and thrive in the very same historic buildings that once housed generations of previous local businesses just like them, supporting local families since the start. Monticello residents have been running, visiting and shopping at these local buinesses since the town was settled in the 1820s. Though many of those businesses are long gone, some relics of them remain
