On Saturday, Feb. 18, from 1 to 7 p.m., a Chili Cook-Off & BrewFest will be hosted by Chris O'Brian of Forgotten Coast K9. The event will take place at Lanier Field, located at 281 N.W. Crane Ave. in Madison.
O'Brian is currently preparing for this event and is seeking cooks for the chili cook-off. This will be the first annual BrewFest hosted in Madison, and O'Brian is hoping for a good turnout at this event. O'Brian stated that he is seeking as many people as possible to be a contestant for the chili cook-off. He has 100 yards to fill!
This event will also have live music by Hard Times Band and Southern Brothers. General Admission tickets are available at the gate. For $5 you can sample all the chili and vote on your favorite. For $25 you can sample all the beer and chili plus vote on your favorite.
All proceeds from this event will go to benefit the Madison County Chamber of Commerce, first responders and veterans. If you wish to become a vendor or a contestant for the chili cook-off, please call (850) 973-2788.
