Carrie White Boon Assembly (CWBA) #331 Order of the Golden Circle operates under the auspices of the Fred Alexander Grand State Assembly and Florida Council of Deliberation – PHA, working out of Zone-One, in the Valley of Monticello.
For over a year and a half, COVID has woven a common thread through everyone’s life and their activities. The destructive effects have been worse than a devastating storm. CWBA is firm believer in the scripture, “In all things, God works for the food of those who loves Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:25. Though there were no physical meetings, all hearts, minds and spirits stayed connected through Zoom and other media methods of communication to achieve the organization’s purpose by remaining focused on its charitable and humanitarian support to their communities.
Organization leadership encourages every Assembly to reach above prescribed activities and create their own production of servitude to their locale. CWBA created a monthly, member special activity calendar. Each member selected a month and spearheaded the activity of choice, with group support.
Noting a few activities beginning November and December 2020 members partnered with constituents and other organizations’ book drives and give-aways; spread Christmas cheer to senior citizens; and distributed gift cards to less-fortunate families.
February 2021 members wrote encouraging, inspiring Love Letters to the Tallahassee Women’s Refuge Center clientele; April 2021 Zone-One Assemblies and Consistories joined to celebrate Mauoly (Holy) Thursday at the Monticello Woman’s Club, and June 2021 for Tri-County Golden Circle Day, an informal social in the park, in Quincy was attended.
CWBA members conducted its first physical monthly meeting at the Jefferson Recreation Park; attended an organization workshop in Jacksonville and partnered and volunteered with founder and CEO, LL Dickey’s book bag and school supplies and lunch at the Rec Park, all firsts’, July 2021. All activities followed CDC guidelines.
