Casa Bianca M.B. Church
Last year, Pastor Tobbie Berrian III and the congregation Casa Bianca Missionary Baptist Church welcomed visitors from the Highland Descendants Council of Charlottesville, Va., and the Middle Oak Baptist Church for a historic meeting.
The council's trip brought together two groups of people, and two church congregations, whose joint history goes back across time and territory to the early 1820s.
Last year’s two-day reunion of descendants of Casa Bianca and Highlands Plantation was very successful, attracting local media attention and attendance by scores of people to both the church and the Monticello community.
Now, the members of Casa Bianca M.B. Church will travel to Virginia to fellowship with members of Middle Oak Baptist Church and meet with those in the community on Saturday and Sunday, June 10 and 11, 2023. Casa Bianca wants to let those in the Monticello community know that they are welcome to travel with them. Here are the details and what you need to do if you are interested in the trip:
Travelers will leave by charter bus from Monticello on Friday, June 9, and travel back from Virginia on Sunday, June 11, 2023. If you are interested in the trip, contact Deaconess Cumi Allen at (850) 661-7884 or Deaconess Tomica Jackson at (850) 524-3257 by phone or text. You may also call Casa Bianca M. B. Church at (850) 997-5018 or write to P.O. Box 826, Monticello, Fla. 32345.
