SnappHappy Cat Sanctuary will hold an adoption event and yardsale fundraiser this Saturday, Dec. 7 at the Monticello News, in the parking area. This event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 180 W. Washington St. Donations will be collected for the animals cared for at the facility.
Several kittens will be available, to be placed in good and loving fur-ever homes. House cats and barn cats will also be ready for adoption. There is no charge for this service but donations will be gladly accepted.
SnappHappy is a TNR (trap, neuter, release) facility, but there are times when the cats just cannot go back to where they came from. Some of these precious felines are born at the facility.
This cat saving effort can only be successful with the support of the community. Be a part of the solution, not a part of the problem; get your cats spayed and neutered. There are low-cost vouchers available. If you find a cat...ask for help.
Another way to help is to recycle aluminium cans behind the Wag The Dog Thrift Shop, on W. Dogwood St. You can also contact SnappHappy at (850) 997-0901, (850) 464-6257, or debbiesnapp@embarqmail.com for more information.
Thanks to all who have contributed already. Your contributions and donations have helped with the care of hundreds of area cats.
Local Lions Clubs will also be hosting membership drives and collecting coats, blankets, socks, heaters and other warming items for those less fortunate in the area.
