Madison County native and Aucilla Christian Academy (ACA) graduate, Brady Browning, was recently named the “Gulf South Conference Freshman of the Week” for his play on the University of West Florida Argonauts baseball team. During a three-game series with Embry-Riddle on Saturday, March 19, and Sunday, March 20, Browning went four-for-eight at the plate with two doubles and four runs batted in (RBIs). He also scored three runs for the Argos. The Embry-Riddle series marked Browning’s first three career starts for the Argos. For the season, Browning has a .400 batting average with an on-base average of .571. So far, this season, the Argos have a record of 14-9, with a conference record of 10-2. He is working toward a degree in electrical engineering at UWF. He is the son of Mark and Jennifer Browning, of Madison.
