Most of the holidays we humans enjoy celebrating each year commemorate the past – a singular event, a series of events, or a special moment in history. By acknowledging our past, we hope to keep legacies alive, and traditions strong. But there is a celebration that focuses on the future, and that is National Arbor Day.
