CERT to hold Open House Dec. 14

Laura Young ECB Publishing, Inc. The adult and teen volunteers for Jefferson County's Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) invite the public to their Open House on Thursday, Dec. 14. The event will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. at Waukeenah Methodist Church, located at 81 Methodist Church Rd. CERT is a volunteer-run group that works in conjunction with the Jefferson County Emergency Management center, a division of the sheriff's office. They work closely with the center and nonprofit organizations to address citizens' needs during disasters, like the recent Hurricane Idalia.
