The Monticello-Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce held its first Power Breakfast this past Tuesday, Jan. 12, and it was a huge success! 19 people showed up for the breakfast and presentation of "Get Found on Google" by Katie Reeves, owner of Ktcreations, a boutique and marketing agency. The presentation was meant to help citizens learn how to use the powerful tools of google to help thier business.
These breakfasts are a new thing that the Chamber is trying out in order to help its members become more successful and help our community grow stronger. The breakfasts are for Chamber members only, and they currently have six months scheduled out, taking place every second Tuesday.
This month's breakfast was sponsored by Johnston's Meat Market, who provided sausage, egg and cheese biscuits; Florida Georgia Citrus, who provided satsuma juice and Pecan Hill Coffee Roasters, who provided coffee for the breakfast. Chamber members came out and enjoyed this wonderful breakfast while simultaneously getting a nice boost to their business knowledge. All breakfasts events lasts about 45 minutes, with the presentation by Reeves lasting about 30. Members can even bring their laptops for some hands-on learning as well.
The next breakfast will be held on Feb. 9 and starts at 7:30 a.m. The topic will be “Social Media Secrets.” As they had an unexpectedly large turnout for this last event, reservations will be required for the February breakfast. Chamber members can make their reservation by calling the Chamber at (850) 997-5552 or by emailing info@monticellojeffersonfl.com. The Power Breakfasts are held at the Chamber Office, located at 420 W. Washington St. in Monticello.
Following the success of this last breakfast, you won't want to miss the next one, so mark your calendars and go enjoy one of the many advantages of being a member of the Monticello-Jefferson Chamber of Commerce.
