Texas Hold'Em competition to take place next week

Next weekend, you can spend a night playing cards, as the Perry Elks Club (in Taylor County, Fla.) will be hosting their 15th annual Texas Hold'Em Poker Tournament.
The poker tournament will also act as a fundraiser for the Elks Club, a non-profit organization that does charitable work in Taylor County.
The tournament will be held on Friday, June 26 and will begin at 6 p.m., The night should conclude around 11:30 p.m.
Texas Hold'Em is one of the more popular forms of poker, and has a long history of playing.
The game is credited as having been created in the early 1900s by card players from Robstown, Texas. From there, the game spread like wildfire through the Lone Star State before its introduction to the world of casinos in Las Vegas during the 1960s.
The tournament is being sponsored bu Nammo, Inc., Georgia Pacific and Duke Energy.
If you plan on playing, expect to pay the $50 entry fee, which will include $3,500 in chips for playing.
The first place winner of the night will receive a two-night stay in Biloxi, Miss., where they will be able to spend a weekend enjoying the various casinos, restaurants and sightseeing opportunities.
Non-players will need to pay a $10 entry fee.
Upon entry, players and non-players alike will be able to enjoy a large buffet of refreshments.
The Texas Hold'Em Poker Tournament will be held at the scenic Perry Elks Lodge, located at 305 Puckett Rd., in Perry, Fla.
