Christmas Night fire destroys home - ECB Publishing, Inc.

Laura Young ECB Publishing, Inc. Jefferson County Fire Rescue (JCFR) was dispatched at 8:35 p.m. on Dec. 25 to a residence at 1455 E. Washington St., where several callers had reported a house being fully involved with fire. According to JCFR's incident report, they sent Engine 1, Tanker 1 and Rescue 31 to the scene, along with Engine 3 from the Monticello Volunteer Fire Department. Upon arrival, firefighters found a single story wood frame residence with heavy fire on the back half and two sides of the home.
