In the beam of the church member spotlight this week is Jeremy Cooper, who attends Renewed Life Outreach Center, which meets at 13752 W. US Hwy. 90 in Greenville. Cooper had been attending another church when he felt Spirit led to visit Renewed Life about four months ago. When we met Cooper, he and his four-year-old son, Landon, were on the courthouse square in Monticello, braving the inclement weather so they could evangelize passing motorists, making it known Jesus loves the community.
He is a church member involved with a food distribution ministry that the church operates on Thursdays. According to Cooper, the ministry feeds about 145 to 155 families per week and provides clothing to families. Farm Share provides the food and as families come through the line, volunteers put boxes in the car, which cuts down on close contact and consequently keeps everyone safer in the age of COVID-19. Cooper likes the sincerity of Renewed Life and what he called “the hunger for the Lord.”
While he does not have a particular passage of Scripture to cite as a favorite, he does have a favorite song in “Holy Desire” by Iron Bell Music, a ministry based out of Louiseville, Ky. By trade, Cooper frames houses. When he is not on the job, he stays busy with his family and in service to his Lord!
