City begins process to hire a new manager

Monticello officials recently initiated the process for the hiring of a new city manager, deciding meanwhile to contract former longtime City Manager Steve Wingate as interim manager until a new person can be found to fill the position. The Monticello City Council began the process at a special meeting on Wednesday evening, Sept. 18, at which Wingate was present.
