City Council holds brief November meeting

Because the Monticello City Council's regular meeting day for November fell on Election Day, they held their Nov. 7 session at 5:30 p.m., earlier than usual, and made short work of a brief agenda in about 45 minutes.
The first action taken was approving an Application for Certificate of Appropriateness in Historic District so that the owner of 345 E. Washington St. could replace their shingle roof with a metal batten system roof in order to improve HVAC efficiency.
