City council special meeting proves inconclusive

A recent special meeting of the Monticello City Council ended almost as soon as it began, with only one of the three items on the agenda addressed and the others either postponed or dropped
The special council meeting on Thursday morning, April 25, was supposed to address personnel and staffing issues, along with consideration of a contract for water treatment operations with ESG, and what was identified as Ronald James drainage problems.
Councilwoman Katrina Richardson was not present, being out of the country. And Councilman John Jones left the meeting almost immediately for another engagement, leaving Mayor Gloria Cox and council members Brian Bach
