City honors two women for their accomplishments

In keeping with the practice of recognizing noteworthy individuals in the community, Councilwoman Gloria Cox recently had the Monticello City Council issued proclamations to two local businesswomen to underscore March as Women’s History Month. The two women recognized were Pam Kelly, of Kelly and Kelly Properties, Inc., and Shanomia Francis, a licensed insurance agent and owner of Mia’s Cakes by the Pound. In issuing the proclamations at the council meeti
