City officials continue their efforts to clean up the cityscape, forcing the demolition of abandoned, derelict houses and cleanup of overgrown and unsightly lots if the owners don’t take steps to remedy the problem. The most recent notices of violations were issued on two properties at 420 and 520 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue. The notices inform the respective owners of the city’s intent to demolish the structures unless the owners act to remove or repair them.
